Navigating death can be overwhelming and isolating

I am here to accompany you through it all.

Full spectrum support before, during, and after death

In a death-phobic and distracted society, many have lost touch with the time honored rituals and Earth-rooted death rites that once guided our ancestors.

Humans have been dying in community and with the Earth for thousands of years. I believe that we each possess intrinsic knowledge about both how to die and how to care for the dying. Working together, we will begin to gather the sacred wisdom within.

  • Preparing

Support consciously preparing for death and coming into relationship with mortality, from advance care planning to care coordination and burial planning.

  • Crossing

Guidance and bedside presence during active dying, providing accompaniment, family education, and ceremonial support at the bedside.

  • Integrating

Hands on presence in the days & weeks following the death of a loved one, including support with home funerals, memorial coordination, and death charts.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Death doulas provide non-clinical support to individuals and families before, during, and after the dying process. This includes companionship, advocacy, bedside presence, memorial planning, and more.

Our scope mirrors that of a birth doula, but at the end of life. As non-clinical providers, death doulas collaborate with hospice and healthcare teams to provide hoslitic, personalized care that honors the relational, emotional, and spiritual dimensions of dying.

  • My role complements hospice, never replaces it.

Hospice provides essential end of life care — but time, staffing, and institutional constraints can leave families needing more support.

As a doula, I tend to all the spiritual, practical, and interpersonal aspects of dying that fall beyond the clinical scope. This work is intensely patient-centered, unfolding in close collaboration with hospice teams and always acting as ancillary support to existing medical care.

  • My practice is non-denominational and inclusive. I work with people of all faiths, no faith, and everything in between.

You are welcome just as you are.

  • I offer support in two formats:

    • Virtual Services — available to families and individuals worldwide

    • In Person Services — I am based in Durango, Colorado and offer in-person end of life doula services throughout the Four Corners region.

Outside of the Four Corners, I serve a wide regional area, including:

    • Santa Fe, New Mexico

    • Taos, New Mexico

    • Albuquerque, New Mexico

    • Moab, Utah

    • Grand Junction, Colorado

    • San Luis Valley, Colorado

    • Aspen, Colorado

    • Telluride, Colorado

    • Flagstaff, Arizona

    • Sedona, Arizona

I am open to traveling farther on a case-by-case basis. If you live outside of this region and would like to work with me, I encourage you to reach out.

  • Doula pricing depends on the type, scope, and location of support. Please contact me directly to discuss your needs and receive a personalized quote. Due to regulatory limitations, insurance billing is unavailable at this time.
